I will continue to do so. But worry, first, about getting him through the other side of Thursday; then we may consider our options through the weekend.
...I believe it will be fine, in the end. If the pattern holds he likely won't be forced to act again. But we should stay with him that night.
[ he glances up at emet when the hand comes to his shoulder, the emotions sort of fluttering, solidifying into something sharper, the tang of determination. ]
Yeah. [ yeah, like fuck he's leaving percy alone. some nasty little voice in his head whispers - fat lot of good it did you last week, didn't it? but he doesn't engage with the thought, finally pulling his eyes away.
.. and then, quietly, lower: ] If someone attacks him, and they turn up dead, I'm not saying shit.
[ and maybe, unsaid there goes - i'd be the one to do it. ]
... after a long moment, he sighs, pulling his own hand away from his face, and looking back up at emet. the stress is basically palpable - and a little low, coursing anger, too. volatile. if something does happen to percy, he's going to be - it's. it's going to be a lot.
... he shakes his head. ] ... Kazunari was better - after. Maybe it wasn't the Greater Restoration. Maybe it was just time.
[his emotions shift too, to something cautious, but-- he trusts vax. he can feel that, too.]
I need you to promise me first that no one else will learn of this. Not Percy. Not anyone. I only have leave to inform one individual, and it absolutely must stay between us.
[he pulls a gumball from his robes, somewhere-- this one unfamiliar, rainbow swirled.]
I was given a duty to perform, here. This accompanies it. It-- [he sighs. his emotions are more resigned than anything, faintly embarrassed.] It allows me to take on another form.
You gave me hell! I thought I was going to get an answer out of you, you stupid fucking elephant! [ he just punches him in the arm, but it is not at all hard, and laughs, and laughs, a little hysterical. fuck. ]
What'd you say. Connections? Guess you can just tell me now.
[ this does eliminate the issue of communication. the laughter finally dies down and he just leans against his side. whew. ] I can spread the word of whatever you're trying to get around, if you need a little boost.
I may require that, in the future. There is no easy way for me to redirect the talk of any animals being other entities, nor correct assumptions about my dreams.
[he lets vax settle in there, an arm around him.]
I do not know about the ones with the pig marks, however.
I do, yes. I create the dreams as well, and weave them with color, although... they tend to go a bit awry. Dreams are hardly a precise science, I have found.
I've seen weirder illusions. What message were you trying to pass on?
[ he looks at his own hands, for a moment - the exhaustion and frustration gets a little laugh, and his emotions radiate an amused sort of comfort. there, there. ] Thanks for not sending me on a weird trip, I guess.
...truthfully, I was not giving him any message. That was the first week I was able to use my ability, and I wished to test it. I did not yet know him well, but as we lived in the same apartment, I thought I might notice-- or at least be able to get information from him about the dream, later-- and so I wove one which was strange enough yet distinct enough to be noticeable, and for me to learn later if it had come through in the same form in which I created it.
[ typical!!! he's expecting nothing less, honestly, emet and percy both are just Like That. vax would've just sent his to percy because, you know, it's percy. sometimes you are simply not a planner.
garou, though... he snorts, there, leaning against him a little further. ] Interesting first choice.
Well. I do not know if he ever mentioned what his dream was, but it involved him killing a number of candy people and then turning into candy himself, as penance.
Bubblegum told me quite early on that he had threatened to eat her.
[shrug!
no remorseful feelings here.]
I doubt he is a genuine threat, by now, but in the beginning... well.

... I wished to speak to you of something else, as well, when I called you here.

...
but, ah. some of those emotions fade, and shift into curiosity. ] What?

Do you agree?

well. after a moment, he nods. ]

I - what?
[ he's looking at this gay ass gumball? hello? ]
no subject
[and, as he tucks the gumball away:]
That... allows me to become an elephant.

So - why? What're you supposed to do?
no subject
[listen he did his best for an elephant.]
...as for why, I'm still not certain, but I have tried to primarily use them to send messages.

he does seem a little more settled, now, the mood more relaxed. hilarious. ... and, honestly, well needed, after the stress of earlier in the day. ]
So, you get to pick people to give the dreams to? That how that works? The colorful ones.

The butterfly with arms?

Why would I purposely make a butterfly with arms? I did not choose the effect he suffered either, for the record.
