Got some stuff to tell you about from my meeting with Soosh and Vin: it worked out. I was able to hold them together for a little bit. Might be able to help with your dreams.

[ there's a lot that goes unsaid there, as his gaze shifts briefly over to emet - it's likely they're both thinking of bass. ] Soosh said that the trip I went on, a few weeks ago - that it was relevant.
The entire thing was about the castle trying to suck us in and keep us there. Kept making us feel safe, and punishing us if we tried to leave - when I got attacked by the illusion of Percival at the end, he was even refracting. Didn't know what it was called, then, but I see it now.
[ he delivers this description fairly calmly, though vax's expression is stormy - he clears his throat and coughs, once, and a few flower petals drop into his hand, a deep, blackish blue color. he tosses them aside, ignoring. ] Soosh worded it as "safety without growth" versus "taking risks for change."
... The part of it that sits bad with me though is that we didn't just get out easy. I couldn't get Percy to stop refracting - he killed me. That was the last thing I remember, and then I woke up back here.
... I will ask Bass how he feels, when we meet today. Gauge his current stance on the matter.

[ vax's expression stays thoughtful, even after that, and he drapes a little further over emet's shoulder, settling. he remembers that name, briefly, from emet's memories, and frowns a little. he'd like to not fade away, frankly. ]

vax is quiet for a long moment, but there's no tickle or cough to it, as he just settles with that information. there's sort of a bittersweet notion to it, but for vax'ildan - someone who wears his emotions on his sleeve, who has a lot of love to give - it touches home, too.
he tilts his head a little, and turns it - there's no one really around, so he can bonk his temple into his from where he's perched, and just leaves it there, eyes closed. ]
...I agree. [ two words, but they're affectionate, for what this version of his friend from home said, and... that sounds like something vax'd say, too, and it gets a lopsided smile to tug back onto his face, gentle. flurry really always be having to rp my characters in cyoas and i think its very funny. ] Maybe we're onto something, here.

they're through the moon's archway by now, and so emet-selch pauses out here, with their view of the stars. lets vax's head rest against his, before he tilts his own to steal a brief kiss.]
[ oh, an emet initiated kiss... he's a little surprised by it, actually, if only because he was behaving himself as promised (sort of), and he's left blinking, just a little pink cheeked.
... but, vax's expression shifts to something a little further affectionate, and he lets it be, with that, feeling just... warm. there's no gremlin emotion, here - he settles like that, for now, letting emet pull back from the kiss but staying close enough to lean against him a little more heavily. ]
