A message from her about change, maybe. That'd be guidance. The birth heart tree might be good, too - I can show it to you in the simulation room, if you want.
[ as usual, vax is pretty hasty (heh) to get somewhere when he needs to be, so! he shows up a few minutes later, nudging the door shut with his foot and coming over to touch the panel on the sim room, giving emet a little sup nod in greeting.
... but he won't take long and gets right to business.
the world around them blooms with color - trees sprout up, up, up above their heads, leading to a grid-shaped series of walkways. distantly, emet will be able to see farmland, rich with bountiful harvests that never seem to end: golden wheat fields and bright green plant life alike bloom endlessly, despite the snowflakes falling from the air. there's a brisk breeze in vasselheim, from vax's last memory in this place, and they can see people milling about on the walkways through the forests, sometimes couples holding hands, in all manners of life from humans to elves to dragonborns to firbolgs to even a goliath. occasionally, one walks by wearing green and white robes.
there are two, much larger trees the closest to them - the birth heart. they bend together and create an archway of branches and trees that knit into each other and wrap around, and just beyond that, there's an even larger tree, with the faint glow of golden light filtering through the branches of the knotted, intertwined archway that signifies the beginning of the birth heart.
but then, that image fades a moment later, to a barren wasteland, with a similar tree. same shape, same type, but larger. ancient, older.
vax reaches out to touch it once it appears. if emet glances at him, he'll see that his wings have returned - it seems being home in exandria makes him naturally imagine himself this way. ]
...Here. [ knocking his knuckles gently against the trunk. ] The first one is the Abundant Terrace - that was her sanctuary and region in Vasselheim, the holiest city in Tal'dorei. This, though... Shale showed me this.
He said that this tree was left behind as a scar from the Calamity that hit Exandria. And I think I saw one of his memories here, too.

[ and there's a part of him that misses it, misses the comfort and familiarity of something that was once terrifying. he closes his eyes, listening to the sound of the wind rustling in the simulated trees. ] She's a part of me, now. Shale and I've got that in common. Even if he doesn't know Exandria, I think he knows her.
[ vax stays like that for a moment, just letting the memories of home take over - he clears his throat, lifting his hand and letting a few petals spill from his mouth. they're a soft, lichen green, and a cherry blossom tinged orange, and he just drops them to the ground. ] I think... if she could tell him not to be afraid of what's to come. Sort of - divine warmth, you know?
[ home to me has always been others. if they can't talk about his friends, then maybe... maybe this, something closer and more personal, something vax understands well, will do the trick.

he stays standing for now, leaning against one of the boughs of the great trees, and just watches. for a moment, vax is internal, reflecting on his world, on the connection he has with a place just like this, and on the little thread that connects his life to shale's, one that neither of them was initially aware of. it's part of what makes helping him so meaningful - it feels like vax is able to return the favor.
