he makes a little noise, soft and pleased, a half chuckle of agreement. sounds good to him; all vax does is shift to roll over fully to prop himself up over him for a better angle, fully inserting himself into emet’s space, tucking a leg between his just for the points of contact. no interruptions. just a little moment of livelihood.
time passes slow and easy like this. it’s drawing back from a lazy kiss a little breathless that he says in reply, quietly between them - . ] Stay the night?
[he's fine with this, just settling comfortably beneath vax, letting his partner move as he pleases. there's a growing sense of ease to this-- a growing feeling that yes, this is something right. this is-- something he wants to be able to keep.]

That is a lot easier to think about than the idea of sleeping alone, because that kicked his ass a little. the kiss quiet is enough time to regain any composure, at least— it’s just a blip before he’s back to normal, nipping his lower lip playfully and shifting like he’s gonna move down. ]

... I will need to return home when we escape this place, and so shall you. I've no objection to enjoying the time that remains, before we see each other in the future.
[ so he does. there's a tiny anxiety buried in his chest at the thought of it, old and familiar - a sadness that he thought he'd managed to shelve, before he came - but there's no sense in dwelling on it. not now, not yet. just a little more time.
he doesn't let it show, instead just tilting his head up into the hand in his hair for a moment, and busying himself dropping kisses up the line of his jaw.
(and truthfully, there's a tiny little flutter at we see each other in the future. something that felt impossible, once, now a reality he could reach out and grab. something to ease the loneliness of a life that's to come, just a little more.)
