Given the way the footprints went together to the grave-- Kazunari may well have seemed nonthreatening, up until the point where he proved otherwise. Lured him to a location where it would be easy to get him into the grave alone afterward. All that aside, if you were assisting someone in murder why would only one of you bother to wear different clothes? Kumon could have avoided finding more, but then why help find any at all?
Just because Kazunari was influence, doesn't mean Kumon was... it may have just been the guilt. He's a gentle one. Perhaps in a way he thought he had no choice but to bring the clothing back to us as Ruby was with him.

When I talked to Kazunari after it all, he told me he was fine, but way more worried about Kumon. Can't say I got the chance to talk to him or anything, but I can try. Does it even really matter, if only one of them was - Charmed, or whatever the fuck this place does?
It matters, I think, in the sense that we ought to know if one is willing to assist even if the other is influenced.

But if you wish to still consider others who would be more accomplished with murder, then keep an eye on Marceline. I would think her capable, out of the group we narrowed to. I just do not know that she would use one of these guns.

We'll have no reason to act on Kazunari if another makes themselves known. Others will wants to solve that particular case if we have another. [ though the way percy says "if" implies that there isn't really a doubt in his mind. this place has proven dependable in the worst ways. ]
