[ when vax speaks so immediately, part of him stiffens, and then suddenly goes a little slack. there's a faint twitch in his fingers, a curl into his fists. he breathes in once. then out. ]

[ if his voice is razor sharp, something in his eyes shows that he didn't mean for it to be. that it catches him by surprise as well and he briefly holds his knuckles to his mouth. ]
[ he's just left sort of staring at percy, even after emet steps in - clearly holding back some kind of anger, frustration. the sharpness that comes out of percy doesn't feel particularly monstrous or un percy-like, really, but just... it's percy.
