[emet-selch is.

he's sitting a short distance away from both of them, this is fine. his own emotions are a mix of relief, a touch of fondness he's attempting to cover with his usual grumpy demeanor.]

I suppose it is, yes. Where, then, do we begin?

[ the fondness. cute.

percy is just grumbling now, but he's kind of relieved and lets himself be jostled out of the way. he'll just stand in the kitchen a moment before stealing back his stool and sitting it closer to emet-selch where they can convene. ]

To start, I suppose we can consider a few things. This... refraction, for examine... what we know about it, how to identify it in individuals once we have left trial. How it manifests...

[ a sigh ] I wonder if... if it's an imbalance, as we've been told, and color was used to fight such a thing, if transferring color to one another is a possibility. To keep that balance.

Refraction, after all, is the diverting of waves of light. Maybe we need to change it back somehow.

Tea, thank you.

[the thank you comes with a little more warmth. he is Ignoring It.]

They did use color to defeat that creature Malik became, so it is certainly related... though it is hard to say whether it will help or harm them. I was told this is something of-- an intensification of their color. Becoming more of those parts of themselves, but less themselves as a whole.

[let's just talk about it as if it was all other people and percy didn't literally experience this let's just do that.]
