[ percy is here at the apartment and making himself some coffee while hunched over on a stool in the kitchen. the feeling is... confusion. relief. comfort from the forge. he's still warm from it and kind of clinging to the sensation of its arrival, the whole workshop's arrival, really. ]
A new week, new places.
This is where we begin anew, correct?
[ he will look at the both of them as the machine spurts out the last bit of coffee and he starts to try to. dress it one-handedly with some sugar and milk. of course as he reaches for a spoon, it goes through the hole in his hand as he is turning to look at them. he can't use the other bc it's mcfuckin' still got a stab wound through it, granted it's been healed a bit from the pods. it's shallower. it's fine. ]
[ vax is not awake enough for this he probably just rolled over out of bed at the crystalline apartment and its to this
he just comes over and bats at his hand, rolling his eyes. ] Get out of the way, Percy.
[ vax is also injured but his hands mostly work fine so he's going to (gingerly) jostle percy out of the way of the coffee so he can make it for him. this idiot. his emotions are also reflective of this, mostly "you are dumb but you're my dumb" and maybe a little bit of apprehension. ]
he's sitting a short distance away from both of them, this is fine. his own emotions are a mix of relief, a touch of fondness he's attempting to cover with his usual grumpy demeanor.]
percy is just grumbling now, but he's kind of relieved and lets himself be jostled out of the way. he'll just stand in the kitchen a moment before stealing back his stool and sitting it closer to emet-selch where they can convene. ]
To start, I suppose we can consider a few things. This... refraction, for examine... what we know about it, how to identify it in individuals once we have left trial. How it manifests...
[ a sigh ] I wonder if... if it's an imbalance, as we've been told, and color was used to fight such a thing, if transferring color to one another is a possibility. To keep that balance.
Refraction, after all, is the diverting of waves of light. Maybe we need to change it back somehow.
[the thank you comes with a little more warmth. he is Ignoring It.]
They did use color to defeat that creature Malik became, so it is certainly related... though it is hard to say whether it will help or harm them. I was told this is something of-- an intensification of their color. Becoming more of those parts of themselves, but less themselves as a whole.
[let's just talk about it as if it was all other people and percy didn't literally experience this let's just do that.]
